Job Summary
Conduct zebrafish research to study adult stem cell biology, brain cancer stem cells, and neural regeneration using molecular biology techniques and genetics. Manage fish line creation, embryo injections, genomics, and genetic tool development while performing essential cell and developmental biology experiments. Support grant writing and supervise trainees within the Department of Pediatrics. Requires PhD or Master's degree with extensive zebrafish experience, proficiency in staining and cloning, and ability to manipulate genomic data with R.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience using model organisms to study cell and developmental biology
- Experience with common molecule staining and cloning techniques
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or genetics
- Zebrafish and related husbandry
- Ability to use R to manipulate next generation genomic data
- Familiarity with Linux
