Job Summary
Senior Research Associate or Associate Scientist in Oligo Chemistry and Biochemistry Research to join its team in Cambridge, MA. Responsibilities include playing a key role in LC/MS based bioanalytical chemistry with synthetic oligonucleotides for multiple projects, performing oligonucleotide extraction protocols (LLE, SPE, immunoprecipitation, etc.), conducting in vitro stability assays of synthetic oligonucleotides in biological matrices, and characterization/identification of oligonucleotide metabolites from in vivo experiments by LC/MS; operate and maintain lab equipment (LC/MS, UV spectrophotometer, Nanodrop, centrifuge, etc.), maintain detailed records of experimental protocols and data, present results within a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate with partners across the company. In-person at Cambridge, five days a week. The role emphasizes fast-paced, team-oriented research in oligonucleotide chemistry and biochemistry with a focus on discovery and preclinical activities.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Analytical or Bioanalytical chemistry with 1-5 years of laboratory experience
- Experience or understanding of the extraction technique of oligonucleotide (or small molecules, biopolymers) from biological matrices
- Experience or understanding of LC/MS analysis of oligonucleotide is highly preferred
- Experience of laboratory software such as ChemDraw and GraphPad is preferred
- Demonstrable organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be highly productive and innovative in a fast-paced work environment
