Job Summary
Senior Research Associate leads key research analysis projects for the PI, Dr. Matt Kraft, focusing on teacher labor market and teacher compensation reforms. Responsible for background research, designing experiments, leading data collection and analysis, developing project models, and writing academic papers, reports, presentations, and grant reports. Requires a Master’s degree with 5-7 years of research experience, experience with large-scale studies, and proficiency in Stata and/or R. Strong analytical and writing skills and a strong background in education research are essential. This is a fixed-term, full-time position with potential renewal, and all remote work must be performed in states Brown is registered to do business in. Background and education checks are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education, economics, public policy, statistics, data science, or related social science fields (PhD or EdD preferred) with 5-7 years of research experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in K-12 teaching and/or working with federal datasets including those maintained by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Experience working on large-scale research studies.
- Experience using Stata and/or R to analyze data.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Strong background in education research.
