Job Summary
Scope and execute complex legal, corporate, and industry research requests for firm lawyers, business professionals, and clients using industry-standard databases. Lead research strategy for sophisticated queries, evaluate sources, and organize findings into high-quality work product while managing workflow priorities and deadlines. Provide litigation alerting, conduct training on research techniques and database functionality, and promote research tools through practice group meetings. Maintain knowledge management records, including time entry and metadata, and assess resource needs through stakeholder conversations. Collaborate with Knowledge Management and AI teams to advance workflow efficiency using technology and standardized templates.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school or equivalent degree
- Bachelor's Degree with more than 8 years of legal, corporate or library professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years legal, corporate or library professional research or reference experience
- Advanced research and database competency
- Proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw, Lex Machina, Bloomberg, Intelligize, VitalLaw, Checkpoint, S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, PACER, HeinOnline, or equivalents
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
