Job Summary
Scope, research, and respond to complex legal, corporate, and industry requests using industry-standard databases, leading strategy for sophisticated queries. Evaluate sources, organize findings into high-quality work product, and manage workflow priorities and deadlines with sound judgment. Provide litigation alerting, lead instruction on research techniques, and train firm lawyers on database functionality. Promote research tools through practice group meetings, maintain knowledge management records, and assess technology needs to improve workflow efficiency. Collaborate with Knowledge Management and AI teams while supporting information resource stewardship and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school or equivalent degree
- Bachelor's Degree with more than 8 years of legal, corporate or library professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years legal, corporate or library professional research or reference experience
- Advanced research and database competency
- Proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw, Lex Machina, Bloomberg, Intelligize, VitalLaw, Checkpoint, S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, PACER, HeinOnline, or equivalents
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
