Job Summary
Senior Requirements Engineer at EMIL responsible for bridging Business and Tech. Translate product initiatives into detailed technical requirements and crystal-clear acceptance criteria; manage backlog and structure non-story changes, complex business logic, and edge-case documentation; enable testing with BDD by deriving scenarios in Gherkin syntax; own glossary and terminology, and maintain Confluence-based knowledge with guidelines, templates, user guides, change logs, and API documentation; gather inputs from PMs, Designers, Devs, and QA to convert into clarified business logic; provide Developers and QA with specified logic and edge cases, return prepared requirements to the PM for review, and supply the team with accompanying material. Requirements include extensive experience in Requirements Engineering or IT Business Analysis, agile experience, ability to formulate test cases, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication in English (German preferred), plus transformative AI fluency and hands-on experience with PM/tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in Requirements Engineering, IT Business Analysis, or similar cross-functional roles
- Experience with agile frameworks
- Ability to formulate test cases (BDD/Gherkin)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; good German (B2)
- Experience with PM and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, API documentation platforms)
