Job Summary
Senior Outside Sales Representative for Industrial Automation responsible for prospecting, account management, and driving revenue through face-to-face selling, demonstrations, proposals, and supplier collaboration; duties include qualifying accounts, executing territory plans, yielding quotations, mentoring the sales team, and maintaining strong customer relationships while traveling to current and potential clients.
Required Qualifications
- Outside sales experience
- 3-5 years outside sales experience required
- 4 years industry experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, with a satisfactory driving record required
- High School Degree or Equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree - Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
- Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers
- Ability to work flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator both written and verbally
- Ability to work in team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred)
- Ability to travel 10% - 25%
- Working Environment: Outside Sales – travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities
- Commission opportunity along with base salary
