Job Summary
Perform analysis and repairs on Automotive Infotainment systems while supporting lower-level technicians by troubleshooting issues. Execute mechanical, electrical, and component-level troubleshooting using microscopes, oscilloscopes, and bench power supplies. Proficiently read schematics and printed circuit board layouts to solder and rework fine pitch surface mount, through hole, and BGA chips. Follow best ESD practices when handling circuit boards. Requires an Associate of Science degree in Electronic Technology, five years of experience in electronic equipment maintenance, and strong soldering skills. Salary is $50,000.00 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science (A.S.) degree or equivalent trade school in Electronic Technology or related Field
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics or related Science field preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in the Maintenance and repair of a variety of electronic and scientific equipment
- Thorough understanding of electronics principles
- Ability to Perform mechanical, electrical, and/or component-level troubleshooting
- Knowledge of electronics equipment, Microscope, including DVM, oscilloscope, and bench power supply
- Proficient with reading schematics and printed circuit board layout
- Has extensive experience with PCBs/mechanical assemblies
- Strong experience with soldering and rework of fine pitch surface mount and through hole components, including BGA chips
- Understands and follows best ESD practices when handling and working with circuit boards
