Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support Permian Operations, collaborating with plant operations to enhance reliability. Responsibilities include applying data analysis to devise engineering solutions for recurring failures affecting capacity, quality, cost, and regulatory compliance; optimizing preventive maintenance tasks; providing technical support during design and installation of new assets or modifications; developing maintenance procedures and checklists; leveraging predictive and non-destructive testing methods (lubrication programs, oil analysis, vibration monitoring, infrared monitoring); conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis; leading or participating in reliability-improvement teams; coordinating with process engineering, maintenance, and capital projects, and liaising with vendors; travel up to 75% in the first year; hybrid work arrangement in Midland/Odessa, Houston, or Dallas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical process, or power generation industries; 10-12 years preferred
