Job Summary
Architect and implement rigorous validation strategies using Python scripts, CAD tools, and bespoke hardware rigs to engineer test fixtures for unmanned platforms. Oversee experimental execution across internal facilities and external labs, managing vibration tables, environmental chambers, and DAQ systems while translating vehicle reliability requirements into granular performance metrics. Lead formal FMEA and FTA sessions to drive design iterations that eliminate potential field issues, and spearhead forensic investigations into hardware failures via the FRACAS framework. Collaborate with EE, ME, and Autonomy teams to validate sensor performance and HIL simulation environments. This role requires a minimum of five years in robotics reliability validation and proficiency with Python, CAD, and shop tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of professional involvement in reliability validation or hardware testing for robotics, unmanned platforms, or automated vehicle systems
- Possession of a Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with environmental chambers, vibration tables, and DAQ systems
- Hands-on capability with CAD and shop tools
- Adept at utilizing Python scripts for automating test procedures
- Deep understanding of the interplay between autonomy software and physical hardware
- Excellent communicative and analytical skills
- Track record of implementing rigorous structure within multifaceted testing environments
