Senior Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct mechanical, electrical, and systems reliability analysis including tolerance analysis, finite element analysis, and failure mode effects and criticality analysis. Lead component-level and system-level reliability planning, testing, and analysis while developing test sequences, procedures, and design of experiments plans. Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations to diagnose malfunctions in test equipment and assess long-term reliability of electrical connectors. Prepare test samples, fabricate test fixtures, and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and beta-site customers to validate product prototypes and pilot production. Present simulation and test results to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- MS/PhD Mechanical/Materials Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience
- Experience with solid modeling tools - Pro/E and/or SolidWorks
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with Tolerance Stack-up
- Experience with related Tools
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of customer, industry standard and internal Quality Test Plan requirements
- Understanding of electrical connectors
- Understanding of quality concepts
- Understanding of testing methods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis software, MS Excel, Minitab
- Experience developing test plans for mechanical and environmental stresses of I/O connectors
- ESD testing
- Knowledge of copper alloys
- Knowledge of high-performance engineering thermoplastics
