Job Summary
Senior Reliability Analyst at Mercer Engineering Research Center focuses on leading reliability investigations and producing daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term reliability analyses. Responsibilities include collecting, developing, and analyzing maintenance data; identifying trends; determining system reliability and component availability; recommending changes to technical data and scheduled maintenance programs; coordinating with engineering on root-cause analysis; guiding cost, schedule, and performance-aligned tasks; and communicating findings through formal and informal briefings. The role requires strong written and oral communication, adherence to MERC policies and MSP quality processes, and awareness of customer needs to promote MERC capabilities. Preferred qualifications emphasize experience with C-130 aircraft and reliability maintenance methodologies (RCM, CBM, MSG-3). Final rank will be determined by qualifications; a cover letter and resume are required in the application.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or Associate’s degree and 15 years of directly related experience in aircraft systems such as electrical and environmental, communication and navigation, guidance and control, electronic countermeasures or mechanical systems
- Or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 9 years of directly related experience
- Or a Master’s degree in a technical discipline and 8 years of directly related experience
- Experience developing products using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with C-130 aircraft
- Experience in data evaluation, interpretation and analysis for the creation of recommended actions
- Technical and specialized knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, and/or Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3)
