Job Summary
The Senior Relay Settings Engineer (EIT 2) will develop protective relay settings and conduct short circuit analysis for transmission and distribution systems. Key responsibilities include performing QA/QC checks, managing tasks across multiple projects, mentoring staff, and conducting relay coordination studies. The position requires experience with microprocessor relays from manufacturers like SEL, GE, and ABB, as well as proficiency in related software tools. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and have passed the FE exam.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained EIT certification
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with protective relay settings for microprocessor relays
- Familiarity with Aspen OneLiner and/or PSS CAPE
- Experience utilizing SEL AcSELerator Quickset and GE EnerVista software
- Ability to conduct short circuit analysis and relay coordination studies
- Mentoring experience
