Job Summary
Conduct a wide variety of banking transactions, manage member escalations, and resolve complaints independently while maintaining member confidentiality. Serve as a subject matter expert for authority limit oversight and membership review to support audit and reporting requirements. Develop direct sales growth through mortgage, auto lending, and market development by meeting ethical sales goals, conducting offsite business development events, and generating new business via networking and sales calls. Open new member accounts, process loan applications, and proactively enter qualified sales referrals into the tracking system. Maintain current product knowledge through Tech CU training and participate in staff and company-wide meetings. Work full-time, 37-40 hours/week, with flexible core hours, rotating Saturdays, and occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience in related disciplines, including sales, customer service or financial services
- Proven ability to develop positive interpersonal connections on limited-time interactions
- Demonstrated rapport-building, active listening, and consultative communication skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across in-person, phone, and digital channels
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong service-to-sales orientation with the ability to translate member needs into appropriate financial solutions
- Proactive follow-up mindset with the ability to manage multiple member relationships simultaneously
- Proven ability to call both 'Warm' and 'Cold' prospect lists
- Strong sales, service and team orientation
- Ability to coach and model successful sales activities and interactions to newer staff
- Demonstrated strong product knowledge of banking offerings, including specifics of rates and terms, with the judgment to escalate or refer complex needs
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented, with solid basic mathematical skills
- Solid ability to work independently, utilizing tools to find information
- Ability to collaborate effectively and consistently perform at a high level in a fast-paced, goal-driven, and high-energy team environment
- Demonstrated adaptability and openness to change as organizational needs evolve and the organization continues to grow
- Solid knowledge and fluency in utilizing digital/virtual platforms to meet with internal/external contacts
- Basic Microsoft Office and keyboarding skills
- Solid ability to navigate multiple software applications
- Understanding of financial products/services and industry regulations
- Must enroll and maintain registration with Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) under Tech CU's company registration
- Willing to travel as required to conduct Tech CU business
- Sight to distinguish between various denominations of coin and currency
- Standing for up to 4 hours per day
- Reading a computer screen and perform keyboarding tasks for up to 70% of the day
- Occasional bending or stooping to reach lower drawers
- Occasional lifting (25 pounds or less)
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- 3+ years' experience in related disciplines, including sales, customer service or financial services preferred
- Maintain current knowledge of Tech CU products/services and competitive landscape
- Participates in Tech CU training as guided by manager, including compliance, product knowledge and sales skills
- Attends staff and company-wide meetings
- May offer periodic coaching to other less experienced staff
- Meets sales goals ethically and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participates in offsite business development events (Member Company wellness fairs, community events, and activities, such as phone campaigns) for the purpose of generating new business, strengthening relationships, and building brand awareness
- Attends networking events and conducts sales calls to increase the visibility of the Tech CU brand and generate new business
- Opens new member accounts, performs account servicing and maintenance, and processes loan applications in person or through Virtual Branch, identifying opportunities to deepen member relationships
- Proactively identifies and enters qualified sales referrals into designated tracking system
- Clearly and confidently conveys information to members across multiple channels, in person, by phone, and through digital platforms
- Supports Tech CU's Mission and Vision and consistently demonstrates Tech CU's Values (Accelerate, Collaborate, Innovate, & Cultivate)
- Meets with manager on a regular basis to discuss goal alignment, performance metrics, and development plans
- Complies with Tech CU policies and procedures

- Complies with requirements imposed by federal, state and local regulatory agencies
- Adheres to internal control and security measures designed to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate losses and errors
- Strong organization and verbal/written communication skills
- Understanding of financial products/services and industry regulations preferred
