Senior Regulatory Financial Analyst (Anchorage)

Job Summary
Conduct statistical, financial, and economic analysis to support strategic planning, rate design development, and pricing options. Update models for regulatory filings and corporate analysis while maintaining compliance with state requirements. Prepare testimony, petitions, and tariff filings for the Regulatory Commission of Alaska, including expert witness presentations and discovery responses. Forecast gas sales, purchasing, and revenue to calculate cost adjustments. Guide less experienced analysts and manage multiple high-pressure projects with fluctuating deadlines. Requires a CPA or CMA, five years of related experience, and a valid Alaska driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field
- Five plus years of related work experience
- Must possess a valid Alaska driver's license
- Qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTAR's Driving Policy
- Ability to pass a background, past employment, credit, drug, and driving record screening
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven organizational, quantitative, and analytical skills including the ability to evaluate data, compile statistics, and prepare reports, graphs, tables, and charts
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Ability to analyze and solve a wide variety of complex and challenging issues
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to handle, track, and complete multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong teamwork and project management skills
- Ability to complete complex assignments under extremely high pressure with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Auditing, utility or regulatory experience preferred
- Experience in a legal environment
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accounting (CMA) preferred
- Knowledge regarding tariffs and regulatory issues preferred
- Good working knowledge of various software applications specifically in Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to learn new systems or software packages as necessary
