Job Summary
Conduct compliance monitoring, gap analyses, and reviews for entities spanning investment services, banking, and virtual assets. Manage licensing requirements with CMA, VARA, and other regulators while representing the company during inspections. Build and maintain compliance frameworks, update policies as regulations evolve, and prepare accurate regulatory reports. Partner with engineers to design AI automation tools that eliminate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency. Provide clear guidance to internal teams by translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable terms. Execute independent judgment on unclear regulations while ensuring robust compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in regulatory compliance in financial services
- Experience conducting compliance monitoring
- Experience working with regulators
- Experience managing licensing or regulatory requirements
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks for investment services, banking, or virtual assets
- Experience with CMA, VARA, or similar offshore regulators
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to make judgment calls
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Ability to take accountability for outcomes without constant supervision
- Comfort with AI and automation
- Ability to use AI tools
- Readiness to learn AI tools
- Ability to communicate clearly across teams
- Strong English
- Ability to explain regulatory requirements to non-compliance teams
- Degree in law, compliance, finance, or a related field
- Ability to keep knowledge current through professional development
