Job Summary
Senior Registered Nurse on a 56-bed Medical/Surgical unit (Med/Surg) at Parkland Health, with a full-time day shift (7A-7P). The role coordinates patient care using the nursing process, assesses and identifies diagnoses, develops and implements individualized plans, and evaluates patient responses. The RN may serve as a preceptor or Charge Nurse on rotation, provides patient advocacy, delivers education to patients and families, and participates in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, high-quality care. Requirements include an RN license (Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact license), two years of RN experience (acute care preferred), current BLS, and a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Parkland offers an $8,000 hiring incentive for eligible applicants and emphasizes adherence to state/federal regulations, infection control, discharge planning, and continuous professional development. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license (Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license)

- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
