Job Summary
Manage a team of Registered nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring effective assessment, planning, and evaluation of high standards of holistic care. Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to staff and students, demonstrating activities to new employees and assessing competence against set standards. Produce accurate records of service user consultations and apply legal policies regarding vulnerable adults to support care delivery. Maintain professional development by identifying training needs, promoting a learning environment, and seeking opportunities for research and practice improvement. Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining service user confidentiality and occasionally taking on additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in the clinical field
- Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willing to undertake
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Proven ability to build, lead and influence an effective team in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
- Knowledge of best clinical practice for client group
- 3 years of checkable references
- DBS/PVG checks
