Job Summary
Senior Registered Architect leads the architectural design for commercial and industrial facility projects in Minnesota, driving the architectural vision, managing multiple projects, coordinating MEP integrations, mentoring staff, and serving as the primary client liaison. Responsibilities include programming, planning, demo plans, elevations, and construction details; overseeing schedules and budgets; administering construction activities; and ensuring compliance with MN codes (IBC, Life Safety). Requires Minnesota licensure within 6 months (NCARB preferred), a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, 7–10 years of experience in commercial/industrial design, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities are essential; overtime available. Direct-hire, full-time role with benefits and potential overtime. Snapshots of the role include leading design, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality, compliant construction documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Minnesota licensure within 6 months (NCARB certified preferred)
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial and industrial architectural design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to mentor Architectural Designers and CAD Drafters
- Experience with construction administration, site visits, submittal reviews, and RFI management
- Knowledge of MN codes (IBC, Life Safety, etc.) and ability to ensure code compliance
- Strong communication skills and client liaison abilities
- Direct-hire, full-time availability with overtime as applicable
