Job Summary
Lead and oversee a multi-property portfolio in New Jersey, guiding Community Managers and on-site teams to achieve operational excellence, drive NOI growth through disciplined expense control, revenue optimization, and delinquency management, and manage capital projects from planning through completion. Collaborate with Marketing to maximize occupancy and rental income; support leasing teams to meet pricing and leasing goals. Recruit, train, and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations and staffing decisions. Ensure compliance with policies, safety programs, and regulatory requirements; identify and mitigate hazards and oversee reporting and communications to senior leadership. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 5+ years of regional property management experience, capital project management experience, strong financial acumen, leadership and communication skills, proficiency with property management tools (Yardi) and Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel overnight as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of regional property management experience overseeing suburban, multi-site portfolios of 2,000+ units
- experience managing capital improvement projects
- strong financial acumen with budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
- vendor management and contractor oversight
- on-site maintenance operations knowledge
- ability to travel overnight several times per month
- valid driver’s license and state-required auto insurance
- real estate license where required by state regulations
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi) and Microsoft Office suite
