Job Summary
Senior Real Estate Loan Closer prepares and reviews closing packages for real estate secured loans, provides documents to closing agents, and answers questions to facilitate timely closings. Responsible for accurately preparing closing documents, reviewing insurance, taxes, and escrow-related items, ensuring regulatory disclosure timing, maintaining an active loan pipeline, and supporting other departments to complete closing requirements. Knowledge of loan closing workflows, document repositories, and compliance regulations (e.g., TILA-RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, UDAAP) is required; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective collaboration in an in-office with hybrid/remote work environment.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years direct loan closing experience or equivalent industry knowledge
- Experience performing complex file review to ensure documentation is obtained and verified in accordance with policies and guidelines
- Experience meeting production and quality standards
- Experience managing high volume loan pipeline and simultaneous workflow priorities
- Must be professional and courteous in all interactions with closing agents, co-workers, and members
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving abilities, and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to collaborate in a team setting and exemplify a helpful attitude to successfully assist others as needed
- Must possess an independent work ethic along with time management and organizational skills
