Job Summary
Senior Range Safety Engineer/Analyst to provide proactive safety support for a Hypersonics flight-testing program at multiple range facilities in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities include supporting preparation and conduct of flight tests, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and enabling live-fire test operations across platforms; requires applying missile-systems safety knowledge, familiarity with U.S. National Range procedures (ALTRV/NOTAM/NOTMAR), and strong communication and collaborative-editing skills for presentations and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering
- 10+ Years of Applicable Experience
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving issues associated with conducting missile system flight testing at U.S. National Ranges
- Demonstrated experience in performing analysis related to link margin and FAA-required reporting (ALTRV, NOTAM/NOTMAR, etc)
- Security Clearance Requirement: SECRET capable, current clearance highly preferred due to short timelines
- Preferred Experience: Ability to apply Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, TEAMs to develop presentations, documents, and perform collaborative editing of products
- Knowledge of safety requirements and sources (including RCC 319, RCC 324, AFSPCMAN/SSCMAN 91-710, RCC 321)
- Ability to work seamlessly on a team comprised of individuals from multiple contractors and backgrounds
- Travel requirements: May require travel <10% including U.S. facilities OCONUS.
