Job Summary
Senior Rail Traction Power / Substation Engineer at AECOM to lead technical delivery of traction power and substation design for UK and international projects within the Electrification & Power team. Responsible for concept to construction design packages, independent checks for compliance with standards, and mentoring for engineers. Collaboration with Project Manager and clients, site visits for information gathering, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions throughout feasibility, outline, and detailed design stages. Demonstrates strong understanding of design governance, health and safety/CDM, and broad experience across traction power and substation work; hybrid work options available.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in traction power and high voltage substation design
- Experience delivering projects across feasibility, outline and detailed design stages
- Experience acting as CRE / Lead Engineer is advantageous
