Job Summary
Design detailed rail infrastructure drawings and plans using CAD software while developing construction cost estimates and project specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality rail solutions from concept through final design, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client standards. Provide technical support, conduct data analysis, and lead the Southern California Rail Design team by mentoring junior engineers in technical skills and leadership development. Oversee project scopes, budgets, and schedules to manage multiple rail design projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (Microstation, InRail/InRoads)
- Knowledge of rail industry regulations, codes, and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
- EIT Required
- 10+ years of prior experience
Desired Qualifications
- Microstation Connect, OpenRail experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) in CA or ability to obtain shortly after joining our team
- Experience leading technical rail design teams
- Member of a professional practice organization, national board member or officer, or national technical or policy committee member
