Job Summary
In the role of Senior Rail Architect, you'll lead and support architectural design packages on rail and station projects, developing and reviewing drawings, layouts, reports and BIM deliverables. You will coordinate across engineering disciplines, participate in workshops, design reviews, and client discussions, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to bids for new work. The ideal candidate should have substantial architectural experience in rail and similar projects, strong design and technical capabilities, and proficiency in CAD/BIM tools.
Required Qualifications
- Architectural experience working on rail, transport, infrastructure or similarly complex multidisciplinary projects
- Strong design and technical capability
- Confidence delivering and leading architectural workstreams
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (Bentley OBD/Aecosim, MicroStation, Revit or similar)
- Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively
- Organised and solution-driven approach
- Willingness to support junior staff and contribute positively to team culture
