Job Summary
Senior Radiography Advisor responsible for the functional management of radiography performance across the site, coordinating between radiography service providers and installation contractors to deliver radiography work safely, on quality, on time, and within cost constraints. Lead a team to drive current and future performance, foster an open learning environment for continuous improvement, and align with safety and project requirements. Requires PCN or ISO 9712/ASME level 2 radiography qualification (current preferred) or equivalent, and Radiation Protection Supervisor experience; nuclear-sector knowledge and IRR2017 familiarity are beneficial. The role involves proactive planning, risk anticipation, and collaboration within the broader HPC Delivery team.
Required Qualifications
- PCN or equivalent ISO 9712/ASME level 2 radiographer (current preferred but lapsed accepted)
- Experience as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) minimum
- Experience on large construction/refit projects with significant radiography
- Knowledge of other non-destructive testing techniques/standards; ultrasonics and/or surface inspection advantageous
- Knowledge and experience from the nuclear sector
- Knowledge of IRR2017
- Experience managing a team of radiographers
