Senior R2R Analyst - General Ledger and Reporting

Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end Record to Report activities, including complex journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Perform high-level reviews of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, manage intercompany transactions, and lead variance analysis for stakeholders. Maintain R2R master data and fixed asset accounting in SAP, act as a key contact for internal and external audits, and drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. Support process transitions into the newly established SSC and mentor junior analysts. Located in Łódź with a hybrid schedule of three office days, this role offers flexibility in start times and access to private healthcare and development resources within Brenntag's global chemical distribution network.
Required Qualifications
- Education degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience in Record to Report / General Ledger accounting
- Strong background in Shared Service Centers, outsourcing, or complex international environments
- Deep understanding of accounting processes and IFRS
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools
- Fluent verbal and written English
- High level of integrity and ability to operate effectively in an international, multicultural environment
- Strong team player with a solution-oriented mindset
- Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Hybrid model: 3 days in the office
Desired Qualifications
- hands-on experience in transition or migration projects
- Familiar with Blackline and Service Now – finance platform
- Experience in process transitions and system migrations would be a valuable asset
