Job Summary
Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to lead design and development of complex electronic systems for new products. Independently conceive, design, and develop innovative electronic systems; provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; manage complex projects from concept through production ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality targets. Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and rigorous testing to validate designs. Create comprehensive technical documentation including schematics, specifications, and test reports. Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering issues during development and production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, manufacturing) to ensure successful product development. Identify opportunities to improve product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering practices. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in R&D electrical design, with strong DSP, embedded systems, and analog design skills, plus proficiency in C/C++, Verilog, or VHDL, experience with phased array/beamforming and acoustic or sonar instrumentation, MATLAB, and FPGA-based signal processing; ability to lead complex projects and communicate effectively across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D electrical design engineering, preferably in consumer product design
- Strong expertise in digital signal processing, embedded systems, and analog circuit design
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Verilog, or VHDL
- Experience with phased array and beamforming algorithms, acoustic or sonar instrumentation, and translating functional requirements into system specifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and methodologies
