Job Summary
Senior Estimating Engineer responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and quotations for RFQs, applying advanced manufacturing process knowledge to develop cost models, validate routing, and support profitable quoting decisions. Collaborates across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain; reviews CAD drawings and specifications; analyzes margins, performs post-award cost validation and variance analysis, and supports Finance. Requires leadership in cross-functional RFQ activities, proficiency in CAD/blueprint reading, and strong financial acumen to drive accurate, timely quotes in a senior contributor role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quoting, estimating, costing, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong understanding of machining and medical device manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated experience leading complex RFQs
- Strong blueprint reading and CAD familiarity
- Advanced financial acumen and margin analysis capability
- Proven cross-functional leadership skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
