Job Summary
Compile material requirements and quotations for switchgear, construction, and distribution apparatus projects by interpreting specifications and blueprints. Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and legal teams to develop accurate bids, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and resolve customer issues during the bidding process. Coordinate final quotation submittals and track outstanding quotes with account representatives. Requires 5+ years of experience, 25% travel, and Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of related experience
- Previous experience pulling together full bid packages
- Broad knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies
- Experience interacting and negotiating with customers and supplier representatives to obtain pricing information and cooperation
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
