Job Summary
Lead commercial delivery of complex gas projects by overseeing financial performance, cost control, and subcontract procurement. Manage client valuations, variations, and compensation events while driving risk management through Early Warning Notices and claims. Provide contractual advice for dispute resolution and support bid development. Mentor junior surveyors, conduct performance reviews, and drive process improvements to maximize financial outcomes. Ensure compliance with company, client, and contractual requirements while building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying
- Valid driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- Professional membership preferable (e.g. RICS)
- Established background in commercial roles, preferably in gas pipelines or heavy civils
- Strong NEC3 / 4 experience
- Strong legal/contractual and financial acumen
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills
- Proven ability to manage client negotiations, subcontract relationships, and project financials
