Job Summary
Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead end-to-end commercial management of capital projects for Severn Trent across Coventry, Derby and Shrewsbury offices. Act as the primary commercial point of contact for project teams and supply chain partners, draft, negotiate and manage NEC4 contracts (Options A, C and E), lead negotiations on contracts, compensation events and final accounts, own commercial risk management and project outcomes, challenge costs and drive value for money, make independent commercial decisions aligned to project objectives, manage complex commercial issues and disputes, and provide guidance and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors and early career professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
- Strong experience managing NEC contracts and commercial risk
- Experience leading negotiations and managing contracts end-to-end
- RICS (or working towards) desirable
