Job Summary
Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee quantity surveying and commercial management across projects from contract award to completion. Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing commercial and contractual advice to Sales and Projects teams. Coach and develop the team, including apprentices, ensuring successful financial outcomes while mitigating company risk. Reporting to the Head of Commercial – UK&I, take ownership of major projects in the region and provide ongoing commercial support. Manage contract and account management for high-risk, high-profile projects, oversee variations and final accounts, identify claims, and calculate value entitlements. Drive change effectively, balance multiple priorities with strong planning and leadership, and promote continuous learning within the team. Required Qualifications
- Min. 7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on projects from £100k to £10m
- RICS accredited or working towards accreditation
- Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) environments
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial risk
- Proven ability to lead large commercial projects
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical details to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making
