Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager – Data Center Construction

Job Summary
Senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager for a data center construction program. You will act as the key day-to-day client interface and deliver value-added cost management services across a multi-phase campus, including developing detailed cost plans and estimates, producing monthly cost reports and funding information, coordinating cost data from design teams, GC/subcontractors, and vendors, reviewing pricing, leading change orders, managing cost variances and contingency tracking, supporting cost risk analysis and scenario planning, ensuring cost-schedule-scope integration, contributing to procurement strategy, leading value engineering sessions, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining compliance with cost controls and SOX where applicable. Strong leadership, client-facing communication, and proficiency with cost management tools are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in construction cost management on medium to large-scale projects of moderate to high complexity
- Data center construction experience, or experience in mission-critical, high-tech, industrial, semiconductor, or other large-scale technical facilities is strongly preferred
- Construction consulting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement routes, commercial management, value management, and value engineering
- RICS accreditation or progress toward certification preferred
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard cost management tools and software
