Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager – Data Center Construction

Job Summary
Senior Quantity Surveyor to act as the key client interface and deliver value-added cost management services for a major, multi-phase data center construction program. Responsibilities include developing detailed cost plans and estimates, producing monthly cost reports and funding information, coordinating cost data across design teams, GCs, subcontractors, and vendors, leading change order processes, managing cost variances and contingency tracking, supporting cost risk analysis and scenario planning, ensuring integration of cost with schedule and scope, contributing to procurement strategy, leading VE sessions, and mentoring junior team members. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5–7+ years of experience in construction cost management, data center or high-tech facility experience preferred, and strong communication and negotiation skills; client interface and remote-work capability within US time zones are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in construction cost management on medium to large-scale projects
- Data center construction experience or mission-critical/high-tech facilities experience preferred
- Construction consulting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement routes, commercial management, value management, and value engineering
- RICS accreditation or progress toward certification preferred
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard cost management tools and software
