Job Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying (QS) or Cost & Commercial Management services, including estimating, cost planning, procurement, and post-contract financial management of diverse projects. Key responsibilities involve leading a QS/commercial team, mentoring staff, bid writing, and representing the company at industry events. Candidates should hold a professional qualification such as MRICS, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate applicable QS competencies. Previous experience in a QS_role at a senior level, and familiarity with software such as CostX and NEC Contracts are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MRICS or Assoc RICS or working towards a professional qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Applicable knowledge, ability, and experience in QS/Cost and Commercial competencies
- Management, project leadership and delivery experience at senior level
- Demonstrable Quantity Surveying or Cost and Commercial Management experience in the public sector or heavy industry projects
- Proven organisational and time management skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptable and flexible approach to workload
- Alternative relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CICES, AcostE)
- Familiarity with specialist software (CostX, CEMAR)
- Working knowledge of NEC Contracts and other industry standard contract forms
