Job Summary
Lead quality programs across Denver-area asphalt plants, oversee field technicians and lab personnel, drive cost of quality improvements, ensure regulatory and customer specifications, act as technical liaison to operations and sales, manage CAPA and RCA, safety integration, ensure licenses, oversee testing and data entry in StonemontQC, mentor staff, lead inspections, coordinate with Plant Managers and Sales Estimators, handle customer engagements and quality events, perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions, ensure adherence to safety and environmental permits, and participate in pre-bid reviews and post-bid data submissions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Professional Engineer in Colorado, preferred
- CAPA (A, B, C, E) certification is required
- RSO (Radiation Safety Officer)
- 10+ years in Quality within Construction or Heavy Building Materials
- 5+ years in Quality Leadership is preferred; HMA AMRL accreditation preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: CDPHE, OSHA compliance and regulations, CDOT/DOT, ASTM/AASHTO standards and procedures, Quality tools and techniques, Test equipment and calibration, Laboratory testing, HMA Mix design methods, Budgeting, Process protocols and process control, Detail oriented, Resource management, Effective communicator (written and spoken), Time management, Microsoft Office and StonemontQC
