Job Summary
Inspect incoming product against purchase orders, drawings, and specifications, while measuring parts and interpreting First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. Log defects, initiate Non-Conformance Reports, and process conforming product through the system to release it to stock. Verify completed assemblies against drawing requirements, confirm documentation completeness, and build the End Item Data Package. Work daily with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to resolve inspection findings, route hardware based on disposition, and flag recurring issues for root cause analysis. This 1st shift role (8:00AM-5:00PM, M-F) includes occasional overtime and requires an Associate's degree or equivalent hands-on inspection experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher, or a high school diploma/GED with significant hands-on inspection experience in its place
- Solid inspection background — machine shop, mechanical, electrical, or software/systems inspection experience
- Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, specs, and inspection documentation
- Ability to work semi-independently while continuing to build toward full ownership of the role, with mentorship
- Strong communication skills
- 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday
- This position may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157

- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GD&T
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Familiarity with IPC or NASA workmanship standards (610, 620, J-STD-001)
- Prior experience with FAI processes (AS9102) and end item data package assembly
- Experience in a startup or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
