Job Summary
Conduct final inspection of parts and materials for compliance with specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. Prepare QA documentation, verify corrective action implementation, and coordinate with Test and Rework Center to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements. Ensure all work meets J-STD, IPC, and MIL-STD standards while maintaining quality standards as NPI production ramps up. This role is based in Final Inspection at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where the team applies advanced technologies like AI and AR/VR to solve complex missions in cyber, RF, and undersea domains.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or the equivalent
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 2 years directly related experience
- J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications
- Distinct knowledge of material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability concepts
- Experienced in the use of current strategic CAD tools; Pro-E/Creo or Solid Works
- Superior knowledge of the strategic CAD and file management tools and design documentation standards (e.g ASME Y14.5M, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Solid understanding of simple mechanical stress; structural, thermal and tolerance analysis
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
