Job Summary
Conduct field inspections and quality audits for railroad, bridge, and highway projects, serving as the technical expert and go-to resource for internal and external stakeholders. Provide guiding direction for inspections, set goals for the business line, and lead audit strategies while overseeing construction inspectors to ensure compliance with all codes and regulations. Act as the external spokesperson on technical project issues and work directly with contractors to issue notices of violation or stop work orders as needed. Requires a valid U.S. driver's license, ten years of experience, and willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight shifts. Based in Rocky Hill, CT.
Required Qualifications
- HS plus ten years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Amtrak and/or Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT)
- Experience in providing overall guidance and supervision of subordinates
- Experience working directly with construction contractors
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work
