Job Summary
Own and drive timely processing of Nonconformances, Process Deviations, and other quality records while maintaining calibration programs, control plans, and pFMEAs. Lead inspection activities for mill products including bar, coil, wire, and thick sheet, authoring and revising quality procedures to support document control. Perform and oversee sample preparation for tensile, BFR, DSC, and chemical testing, ensuring data integrity during process validation activities. React to leading indicators to facilitate preventive actions and support continuous improvement projects. Conduct training for new employees and mentor junior technicians. Operate in a 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) Monday-Friday role with a competitive hourly range of $22.88 to $36.54. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 year experience in a quality role such as inspector, analyst, technician, etc.
- Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and lead technical tasks
- Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in a Quality Engineering Technician role for a medical device manufacturer or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA compliance
- Six Sigma Green Belt
