Job Summary
Direct cross-functional teams to solve customer and production issues while coordinating manufacturing support for process improvements and manufacturability. Maintain ISO 9001 quality systems, manage supplier and customer return analyses, and lead risk assessments including PFEMA for new products. Execute APQP and part approval sign-offs, analyze defect rates to drive action plans, and partner with engineering on NPD launches to ensure zero defects. Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 2+ years of quality experience, and ability to work a 24/7 collaborative schedule. Based in Waukesha, WI, this full-time role supports Eaton's manufacturing operations with no relocation or sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of two (2) years of Quality or Manufacturing experience
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications
- Understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, A3s, etc
- GB (green belt) or BB (black belt) certified
- Experience in electrical testing procedures and protocols
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical equipment at component and integrated system levels
- Demonstrated ability to interpret regulation and standards, and implementing Electrical Safe Work practices such NFPA 70E
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and trouble shoot electrical control, protection, instrumentation, and metering schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience supporting Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing plant
- Demonstrated ability to work with little direction and effectively operate in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to assist manufacturing operations and product designers/engineering personnel to resolve electrical design and build production issues
- Position requires supporting operations 24/7, as worked out on collaborative team schedule of controls engineers & technicians
- Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Waukesha, WI will be considered
- Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
- Do you have experience performing Quality audits and QMS documentation
- Do you understand and have experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Production Part
- Do you have Electrical testing procedures and protocols experience
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of Quality or Manufacturing experience
- Experience with principals of statistics, calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced topics in mathematics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting in their work
- Project Management experience desirable
- Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience supporting Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing plant
