Job Summary
Conduct routine and first article inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and vision systems to ensure medical devices meet engineering requirements. Develop CMM routines based on engineering drawings and GD&T specifications, while providing input for inspection procedures and test methods. Assist in Gage R&R studies, validate test methods, and support design verification activities using fixtures and established protocols. Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and nonconformities, and assist in training other quality technicians. Perform other Quality tasks as assigned, including 10% travel, within a full-time on-site role in Pleasanton.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience
- Medical device experience preferred
- Proficient using calipers
- Proficient using micrometers
- Proficient using height gauges
- Proficient using optical comparators
- Proficient using pin/ring gauges
- Proficient using complex measurement and test equipment (CMM, tensile testing, etc.)
- Ability to work inside a laboratory or controlled environment room
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of basic GD&T principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills with experience in measurement data analysis
- Experience with SPC
- Experience with Minitab
- Proficient using MS Word
- Proficient using Excel
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day
- Work location: On-site in Pleasanton
- 10% travel
- Full time employment

- Legal authorization to work in the United States
