Job Summary

Verify software products and systems against business requirements and design documents by developing and executing exploratory, manual, and automated tests. Establish appropriate test scenario coverage and the ratio of manual to automated test coverage for Premier's software products. Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, test automation tools like Selenium and Cucumber, and programming languages such as Python and Java. Adapt quickly to changes in scope and assignments while providing guidance and mentorship to teammates. Write validation criteria and test scripts with independent judgment, operating within enterprise guidelines for version control and continuous integration.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of applicable experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Thorough knowledge of Premier products and business domain
  • Full latitude for independent judgment when writing validation criteria and writing and executing test scripts
  • Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
  • Be adaptive and change priorities quickly
  • Meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions
  • Ability to work remotely (implied by 'Remote' in Travel Requirements context and 'stationary position' requirement)
  • Travel 1-20% within the US
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

  • SQL (writing single-table or multi-table joins, relational/dimensional database concepts, database query tools)
  • Skills in the development of test automation (using AI, Java, Selenium, Cucumber or equivalent technologies)
  • Programming skills in one or more scripting (i.e. Python) or object oriented programming languages (i.e. Java, C#, C++)
  • Self-motivated to learn about and stay current with new and emerging testing technologies and capabilities
  • Ability to adapt to changes in scope, schedule and assignments quickly (learning on the fly) with little or no direction
  • Provide guidance, support and mentorship to teammates
