Job Summary
Monitor the performance of the supply chain, banknotes, coins, and NZ's cash distribution system to ensure quality and authenticity meet specifications. Develop robust quality assurance standards, frameworks, and processes while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Lead scientifically valid investigations, interpret data analytics, and present findings to decision makers to influence outcomes. Ensure new banknote and coin designs meet the needs of New Zealanders and all produced cash adheres to specifications. This role supports the Reserve Bank's mission to maintain confidence in New Zealand's financial ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified in relevant scientific/engineering discipline
- A thorough understanding of quality assurance processes
- Demonstrable experience in leading scientifically valid investigations and presenting data outputs to decision makers
- An ability to influence and obtain support from key stakeholders to arrive at a desired outcome
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An innovative and problem-solving approach in a technical or manufacturing environment
- Solid all-round capability to independently manage a diverse program of work
- Proven data interpretation/data analytics skills
- Experience overseeing or actively contributing to a quality assurance programme in a regulated environment
