Job Summary
Lead on-site supplier audits to ensure compliance with McCormick’s supplier management and risk assessment standards; follow up on factory material complaints and supplier quality issues; conduct qualification assessments for new raw materials, packaging and suppliers; assist factories with customer audits and supplier-management-related questionnaires; update and organize supplier documentation; travel 10-30% to support audits and supplier initiatives; requires a Bachelor's in food science or related field and experience in QA/QC/quality systems (FSSC22000, BRC); strong problem solving, negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills; knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and risk management; willing to collaborate across teams and support supplier management projects; travel percentage noted in job specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in food science or related field
- 1-2 years working experience in technical arena, quality assurance, quality control, and quality system of food industry
- Proficient quality and food safety audits and quality management systems (FSSC22000, BRC)
- Practical factory audit experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of raw materials, food processing, HACCP, sanitation and risk management
- High level of professionalism; strong work ethic; interpersonal skills; teamwork and sound judgment
- Good problem solving, negotiation, customer service, communication (verbal and written) and data analysis skills
- Travel required (approximately 10-30% monthly)
- English and Chinese language abilities preferred
- Ability to conduct supplier qualification assessments and support customer audits
- Ability to manage and organize supplier documentation and records
