Job Summary
Senior QA/QC Manager (Architecture) leads firmwide QA/QC initiatives to elevate design quality, constructability, coordination, and code compliance across projects. Responsibilities include refining QA/QC processes across SD, DD, CD, and CA; performing high-level drawing and specification reviews; ensuring adherence to building codes, life safety, and ADA accessibility standards; identifying and mitigating design risks; collaborating with project managers and leadership to maintain deliverable consistency; developing and implementing QA/QC standards, checklists, and review protocols; mentoring architects and project teams in documentation excellence and coordination; and leading post-project evaluations to improve workflows and overall performance. The role requires strong technical authority on complex architectural challenges and interdisciplinary coordination, with experience guiding firmwide QA/QC standards, training programs, and culture through process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect (RA) required
- 25+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice
- Proven experience in QA/QC leadership or technical oversight roles
- Deep knowledge of IBC, local Georgia/Atlanta codes, and ADA accessibility standards
- Expertise in life safety systems, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
