Job Summary
Lead the quality group and manage testing efforts for software applications including Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Generation Management systems (GMS). Design functional and non-functional use cases, create test plans for SCADA systems, and develop automated test scripts using C#, Java, and tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps. Proactively identify and investigate issues, collaborate with the PD team to verify corrections, and provide feedback on product limitations. Mentor team members on testing methodologies and apply Agile development principles to ensure high-quality deliveries. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 10+ years of experience, and work authorization for the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems and make decisions regarding quality matters that may significantly impact contracts
- Possess a diversified knowledge of engineering, electric utilities and related functions
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance programs, procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines
- Experience in Test Management tools like Zephyr Scale/Jira, Azure DevOps to maintain and execute test procedures
- Knowledge and Certification in AI tools like CoPilot
- Knowledge of QA testing principles and experience in building automated tests (using tools such as Visual Studio, NUnit, TestNG, Playwright)
- Experience using programming languages like C#, Java
- Experience in Energy, Generation Management Systems (EMS/GMS) & SCADA systems with proper understanding of network power applications like State Estimation, Network Modeling, Short Circuit Analysis, Fault location etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Energy, Generation Management Systems (EMS/GMS) & SCADA systems with proper understanding of network power applications like State Estimation, Network Modeling, Short Circuit Analysis, Fault location etc., will be preferred
- Experience in Test Management tools like Zephyr Scale/Jira, Azure DevOps to maintain and execute test procedures is a must
