Job Summary
Build the quality assurance function from the ground up by defining testing strategy, standards, and automated infrastructure across web apps, backend APIs, and critical transaction flows. Own release quality by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to catch issues before production and establishing bug tracking, reporting, and quality metrics visibility. Deeply understand product behavior to identify high-risk areas in trading and financial flows, partnering closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases while hiring and mentoring a small QA team as the function scales.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QA Engineering or SDET roles
- Proven experience building automated test frameworks from scratch
- Strong experience with modern testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Full-stack testing experience across frontend applications and backend APIs
- Experience testing financial, trading, or high-stakes transactional systems
- Familiarity with TypeScript or Python for automation
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence engineering decisions and quality standards
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with high ownership
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in crypto, DeFi, or blockchain-based systems
- Background in trading platforms, betting systems, or financial exchanges
- Experience leading or mentoring QA teams
- Exposure to performance/load testing and system scalability
- Experience with mobile (iOS) testing
- Familiarity with security testing practices
