Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer responsible for improving quality within the embedded team, driving process, tooling, and testing changes; create the test strategy with a shift-left focus; act as the subject-matter expert for testing and product knowledge, driving knowledge sharing and documentation; mentor and upskill other QA engineers; collaborate with product and engineering teams to inject quality, and build/maintain robust test automation frameworks for complex web apps, mobile apps, and backend services; proficient in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, with scripting in Bash or Python; bonus familiarity with Cypress/Playwright, accessibility testing, and creative software concepts. Location-based in Canva London campus with hybrid work arrangement; virtual interviews supported.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building and maintaining robust Test Automation Frameworks
- Experience testing complex web apps, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and backend services
- Coaching/guiding team members with testing best practices
- Solid grasp of test automation principles across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Ability to script with Bash or Python
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and work with product teams to improve QA processes
- Experience with defining QA processes and advocating for quality improvements
